What is SENSHU?

It is a region full of charms, where the traditional beauty of Japanese culture and landscapes collide to form unique experiences.

8 Stories

Senshu can’t be summed up in just a single word–which is why we’ve collected eight stories. If you’re planning to visit Kyoto or Nara, make time for a detour, and explore Senshu. You never know what might be waiting.

Seasonal Highlights

As much as Senshu is a region full of kindness, it is also full of seasonal beauty. In spring, visitors can discover hidden spots where cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Summer is synonymous with the clear blue sea, and fun in the sun. Autumn is full of exciting festivals, like the enduring Kishiwada Danjiri. In winter, the glimmering nighttime scenery and taste of crabs and cabage will drive away the cold. Seasonality also plays a unique part in regional cuisine, and there’s no wrong season to enjoy a luxurious soak in a local onsen. Welcome to Senshu!
